Prevention Videos: Construction Hazards
Every year in the U.S. more than 800 construction workers die and nearly 137,000 are seriously injured while on the job. Construction workers engage in many activities that may expose them to serious hazards, such as falling from rooftops, unguarded machinery, being struck by heavy construction equipment, electrocutions, silica dust, and asbestos. Watch these helpful videos to learn about how to prevent injuries and deaths on the jobsite.

OSHA 10 and 30-hour Certification
As for the OSHA 10 and 30-hour Outreach training courses for general industry and construction, students who successfully complete one of those courses receives a course completion wallet card issued through the US Department of Labor (DOL). But when you look at those wallet cards, nowhere does it state that the student is 10-hour certified or 30-hour certified, nor are the card referred to as an “OSHA certification”.
The OSHA 30 hour training course in construction standards was created by OSHA, who also authorizes OSHA Outreach trainers like us to conduct this 30-hour construction training class for a group of trainees. The OSHA 30-training courses for construction is presented in a classroom setting (usually spread over four consecutive days). Trainees receive several handouts as part of their training.
OSHA 30 Certification
When a student successfully completes the OSHA 30 hour construction training course, they will receive the official US DOL / OSHA 30 hour construction course wallet card, as well as a personalized certificate of training upon successful completion of the course (Note: OSHA policy states that it is not proper to refer to their DOL / OSHA card as a “OSHA 30 certification”, as they do not “certify” anyone). Our wallet cards are made of durable plastic, and take approximately two weeks to be processed and shipped to the student. The DOL/OSHA 30 wallet cards for this class are accepted in all 50 states, DC, and the US territories.
